DESCRIPTION:Event Topic: \nParents will learn foundational skills to teach their children to help recognize\, prevent\, problem solve\, and respond to bullying\, while also gaining tools to effectively support their child if they are being bullied or engaging in bullying behaviour. \n  \nCLICK TO REGISTER\n  \nPresenter: Terri-Lyn Sudom\, M.Ed.\, BCBA \nTerri-Lyn Sudom is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who recently completed her Master of Education in Special Education at the University of British Columbia\, with a specialization in autism and developmental disorders. She has been supporting children and families in the disability field since 2012 and brings extensive experience working in home\, school\, and community settings. \nTerri-Lyn works closely with families to build practical\, meaningful skills in areas such as communication\, emotional regulation\, social development\, and daily living. She is passionate about providing family-centred\, collaborative care and strives to ensure that strategies are realistic\, supportive\, and tailored to each child’s unique needs. Her approach is grounded in compassion\, respect\, and evidence-based practice. Terri-Lyn values strong relationships with both caregivers and other professionals\, and she prioritizes creating consistent\, aligned support systems that help children thrive across environments. \nTerri-Lyn’s interest in this field is deeply personal\, as she has a younger sister with autism. This experience has shaped her commitment to supporting not just individuals but also entire families as they navigate their journey. Outside of her professional work\, Terri-Lyn enjoys playing piano\, officiating ringette\, and practicing hot yoga\, which help her maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
