SUMMARY:Exploring Sensory Processing: An interactive workshop at TWO
DESCRIPTION:This World’s Ours Centre is hosting an Interactive Family Workshop with Olivia Hoffsuemmer (Occupational Therapist) \nThis workshop will explore Sensory Processing. \nBring your child with you to play & learn together in an interactive session which will give you some ideas on how your child may benefit from exploring their senses & how to continue to develop these ideas together at home. \nChildren use their senses during all their first experiences to help them make sense of the world. Olivia will support you to understand how your senses help you do this. You will learn about the benefits of multisensory play; such as using sensory bins. You will discover how these can stimulate our senses\, promote emotional regulation\, and develop fine motor skills. Olivia will then show you how to create your own personalised sensory bin with your little ones\, so that you can incorporate all you have learnt to see\, touch\, smell\, and hear the benefits of sensory play for yourself. \nPlease note there is a $10 fee to cover cost of your personalised sensory bin. We accept Autism Funding. \nThis workshop is ideally suited to a parent & child aged 3-6 working & playing together.  \nTo get the most from this session\, we recommend that parents & children participate together.
