
Join Miles Stratholt to hear about the Accessibility Supports Framework (ASF), how it fits into the Ministry’s larger mandate for supporting student’s in post-secondary, and a more detailed explanation of the components of the ASF and how they can be accessed by both students with disabilities and their family/support networks. There will be a Q & A session.
Learning Outcomes:
• Gain an appreciation of the supports available to students with disabilities through the Accessibility Supports Framework; and,
• How to access supports through the Student Financial Assistance process and Post-Secondary Institutions.
Miles Stratholt has been living with a disability since the age of eleven. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in science from the University of Victoria and a Master’s Degree in Science from the University of British Columbia. He worked as a fisheries biologist until 2008 and then transferred into the area of post-secondary disability related policy and program development at the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training.
