DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events\nJoin us for a new session of Housing Options where guest speaker Lisa Evans\, CLBC Housing Specialist\, will be giving a presentation. This will be an amazing evening. Come prepared to listen\, learn and please bring your questions. \n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n  \nLisa is in a new role with CLBC that is strictly focused on Housing as Manager of Services & Community Development – Housing for CLBC . The department was created out of the Re-imagining Community Inclusion ministerial document that was created by individuals\, families\, CLBC\, agencies and multiple community partners which speaks to the need to address the areas of Health\, Housing\, Employment and Indigenous supports and services. \nThree Regional Housing Leads— their roles are to support community engagement in regards to housing\, meeting with developers\, builders\, non-profits and supporting building relations to gain access to housing\, working with communities and municipalities to understand CLBC and persons with diverse abilities and how they can support intentional\, accessible\, inclusive communities and working on research and collaborating with the local regions \n\nTwo Housing Coordinators – they work with BC Housing and the regions to support the current group homes\, maintain them\, do inspections and the budgeting for the regions and also create new ones where required. They also will be supporting the portable rental benefit program and they support research and community engagement events.\nOne Provincial Program Coordinator for Home Share – Supporting research and projects for home share\, She is a subject matter expert and supports the regions and the Head Office departments and is the liaison to the Home Share Support Society.\n\n— \nFamily Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial not-for-profit society committed to supporting families who have a family member with a disability.\nFSI is unique in Canada and the only grass roots family to family organization that has a broad volunteer base. \nFSI SUPPORTS AND SERVICES ARE FREE TO ANY FAMILY \nYou are invited to join FSI CONTINUING CONVERSATIONS\, a private Facebook Group intended to continue conversations of support or provide an alternative platform for support. www.facebook.com/groups/fsicontinuingconversations/ \nAfter the session you are encouraged to share your feedback.
