SUMMARY:Understanding Self-Injurious Behaviours
DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events \nSelf-injurious behaviours (SIBs) frequently occur in children and adolescents with neurodiversities and developmental disabilities. There are multiple reasons a person may be engaging in SIBs and it can be difficult to know how best to support the individual to stop causing themselves injury. This presentation will provide an overview of reasons SIB may occur\, the kinds of person-centred supports that may help an individual with SIB\, and information about how different specialists may be able to help. \n  \nREGISTER HERE\n  \nGUEST PRESENTER: Sarah Pastrana\, PhD\, BCBA-D \nDr. Sarah Pastrana is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst and an associate with Semiahmoo Behaviour Analysts\, Inc.
