The department was created out of the Re-imagining Community Inclusion ministerial document that was created by individuals\, families\, CLBC\, agencies and multiple community partners which speaks to the need to address the areas of Health\, Housing\, Employment and Indigenous supports and services. \nThree Regional Housing Leads— their roles are to support community engagement in regards to housing\, meeting with developers\, builders\, non-profits and supporting building relations to gain access to housing\, working with communities and municipalities to understand CLBC and persons with diverse abilities and how they can support intentional\, accessible\, inclusive communities and working on research and collaborating with the local regions \n\nTwo Housing Coordinators – they work with BC Housing and the regions to support the current group homes\, maintain them\, do inspections and the budgeting for the regions and also create new ones where required. For that reason\, it contains outdated language about mental health conditions which modern audiences might find offensive or jarring. \nSensory Impact\nWhile this play is quite calm\, there are several moments with sudden\, sharp sound effects. There will be prizes and festive cheer. \nYou will get all the materials needed to build a festive house out of graham crackers. Compete for prizes like: most creative\, most solid build and more. At the end of the competition we will watch a short holiday film together. \nThis experience is in-person! \nYou’ll meet your host in Burnaby! The exact address will be sent to you when the host confirms the experience! \nThis experience takes place at the Curiko Studio which is a 8 minute walk from a skytrain station. The space is a large open room with lots of light. This experience might be loud\, from talking\, music and traffic sounds. We will be building houses with our hands and it might get messy. Feel free to join to socialize and walk even if you don’t have the game to play.We will be walking most of the time outside where there will be limited Wi-fi. You are encouraged to download the game in advance if you want to play on your own device. In the game there is an option for Augmented Reality that will affect how you view your surroundings – you can turn this off. \nWhere to meet?\nA busy downtown area with a park. We will meet by Main Street Science World skytrain station. \nWhat to bring?\nBring a a phone\, iPad\, or tablet that can use data.
