SUMMARY:Autism and Taxes Level 1 - All About The DTC
DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events\nThe Disability Tax Credit is not just a simple tax credit but a gateway to many more benefits. Parents may find the application process confusing. Dave is here to help you through the process and interpret all the jargon. \nThis talk is intended for parents of children with autism who have not yet applied (or need to re-apply) for the Disability Tax Credit. \nIf you have a child with autism\, I can guarantee that you are experiencing financial stress. Dave is here to help alleviate some of this stress. \n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n  \nGuest Speaker: \nDavid Taylor is the parent of a child with autism and has been running a home-based ABA program for 16 years. David has done extensive research into the financial side of managing an ABA team and has gathered information on all kinds of issues from his own experiences and from feedback from other parents. \nIf you think this may be applicable to you\, please attend. Parents are often shocked by how much they will gain by applying for the Disability Tax Credit. \nDave will not be talking about how to file your taxes or what you may be able to claim. This will be presented in a subsequent talk “Autism and Taxes – Level Two” which we will host again next February. \nPlease do not bring your tax questions to this talk. We will only be discussing the application process. \n  \nPlease note this presentation will be run as an online live webinar. It is open to everyone in British Columbia. This event will be recorded\, but THE RECORDING WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO ATTENDEES.

SUMMARY:Everything Relationships!
DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events\nA monthly (4th Tuesday of the month) online drop-in to ask and discuss any questions that you have about building and keeping relationships. \nThese monthly sessions will be hosted alternately by Certified Sexual Health Educators Darren Frisk and Sherry Nassrin\, and are for individuals who want to build relationships\, both professionally & personally. \nDeveloping the relationships we want takes time & effort\, but we do get better at it. We can learn to be our most mature selves\, and to become more socially & emotionally aware.  We may need to expand our opportunities for meeting people\, to participate in activities that are new to us\, to nurture curiosity about others\, and to demonstrate flexibility around shared activities. This only makes sense if doing so aligns with our goals\, while preserving our mental & physical well-being. \nBeginning is the first step! Be kind to yourself\, and know that by reaching out in these sessions & elsewhere\, others will see your effort and will reach out back to you! \n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER
