To everyone’s surprise\, that man claims to be the real Kris Kringle and his case makes it all the way to the Supreme Court! \nTold in the style of a live 1940’s era musical broadcast\, staged with live foley effects and a score of your favourite holiday tunes\, Miracle on 34th Street is sure to be a highlight of the season. This heartwarming family show will melt even the most cynical of hearts! \nContent Warning\nThis play is set in 1947. For that reason\, it contains outdated language about mental health conditions which modern audiences might find offensive or jarring. \nSensory Impact\nWhile this play is quite calm\, there are several moments with sudden\, sharp sound effects. There are two moments where the lights on stage slowly flicker on and off. There is no strobe lighting. \n  \nBUY TICKETS HERE\n  \nThis is a relaxed performance. Relaxed performances are designed to welcome audience members who will benefit from a less restrictive audience environment\, including (but not limited to) patrons with sensory processing conditions\, autism\, a learning or intellectual disability\, or parents with infants and toddlers. David has done extensive research into the financial side of managing an ABA team and has gathered information on all kinds of issues from his own experiences and from feedback from other parents. \nIf you think this may be applicable to you\, please attend. Parents are often shocked by how much they will gain by applying for the Disability Tax Credit. \nDave will not be talking about how to file your taxes or what you may be able to claim. DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events\nA monthly (4th Tuesday of the month) online drop-in to ask and discuss any questions that you have about building and keeping relationships. \nThese monthly sessions will be hosted alternately by Certified Sexual Health Educators Darren Frisk and Sherry Nassrin\, and are for individuals who want to build relationships\, both professionally & personally. \nDeveloping the relationships we want takes time & effort\, but we do get better at it. We can learn to be our most mature selves\, and to become more socially & emotionally aware.  We may need to expand our opportunities for meeting people\, to participate in activities that are new to us\, to nurture curiosity about others\, and to demonstrate flexibility around shared activities. This only makes sense if doing so aligns with our goals\, while preserving our mental & physical well-being. \nBeginning is the first step! This workshop is designed for both parents and professionals to learn new tools and strategies for sound planning during any transition years. \n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n  \nFamily Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial not-for-profit society committed to supporting families who have a family member with a disability.\nFSI is unique in Canada and the only grass roots family to family organization that has a broad volunteer base. \nFSI SUPPORTS AND SERVICES ARE FREE TO ANY FAMILY \nYou are invited to join FSI EARLY YEARS TRANSITIONS\, a private Facebook Group intended to continue conversations of support or provide an alternative platform for support. \nAfter the session you are encouraged to share your feedback.
