SUMMARY:Exploring Sensory Processing: An interactive workshop at TWO
DESCRIPTION:This World’s Ours Centre is hosting an Interactive Family Workshop with Olivia Hoffsuemmer (Occupational Therapist) \nThis workshop will explore Sensory Processing. \nBring your child with you to play & learn together in an interactive session which will give you some ideas on how your child may benefit from exploring their senses & how to continue to develop these ideas together at home. \nChildren use their senses during all their first experiences to help them make sense of the world. Olivia will support you to understand how your senses help you do this. You will learn about the benefits of multisensory play; such as using sensory bins. You will discover how these can stimulate our senses\, promote emotional regulation\, and develop fine motor skills. Olivia will then show you how to create your own personalised sensory bin with your little ones\, so that you can incorporate all you have learnt to see\, touch\, smell\, and hear the benefits of sensory play for yourself. \nPlease note there is a $10 fee to cover cost of your personalised sensory bin. We accept Autism Funding. \nThis workshop is ideally suited to a parent & child aged 3-6 working & playing together.  \nTo get the most from this session\, we recommend that parents & children participate together. DESCRIPTION:Meaningful Connections FREE\nWe are hosting an Interactive Family Workshop with Behavior Consultant Michelle de Beer. \nThis is a FREE workshop to discover how to help your Child Build Deeper\, more Genuine Connections in just 1 activity each day- 7 Days\, 7 Ways\nBring your child with you to play & learn together in an interactive session which will give you a range of ideas on how you can help your child with connection; building connections together and helping your child build connections with others.\nThe idea of ‘connection’ or ‘social skills’ can be overwhelming. Michelle\, an experienced behaviour consultant\, will introduce her Autism Connection Strategy™ which intentionally simplifies this process by giving you 7 activities that you can do using a variety of activities specific to your child. It was made by Inclusion Films and 70% of the cast and crew who made the movie have an intellectual disability! \nWe will provide popcorn and hot chocolate\, but please feel free to bring any baking or other holiday treats that you would like to share with everyone 🎅🍪 \nMasks\, antlers\, Santa hats\, and ugly sweaters are optional but encouraged 😷 \nAs with all our meetings\, this event is free for anyone to attend\, so spread the word and bring a friend! \n  \nWatch the trailer here
