You’ll find out the current status of Bill C22\, the question of budgeting for the benefit\, and an update from DWP. \nJoin us on Zoom Tuesday\, April 4\, 2023 from 9-10am PT/12-1pm ET \nASL\, LSQ\, English & French closed captioning\, as well as Simultaneous French translation will be provided. \n  \nREGISTER HERE\n  \n#WheresTheBill? \nBill C-22 finished Second reading on March 9. It is now with the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs\, Science and Technology (SOCI)\, with public hearings scheduled from March 22 onwards. \nOnce the committee has done their work\, a report is made. If the Senate does not propose any amendments\, the bill moves onto Third Reading. \nIf the Senate proposes amendments\, the bill is sent back to the House of Commons to debate these new amendments. \nThe risk with amendments in the Senate is that the House of Commons can vote to defeat the bill\, and Bill C-22 would be no more.

DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events \nClasses focus on improvisation. We always start and end in a circle. The class has music (sometimes recorded\, other live music) Anyone who requires one-to-one support must bring their own attendant. Look at the photos at bottom of page for detailed directions on how to get there. \n\n\n\n\nPlease bring clean\, indoor shoes to class if possible. Bare feet or socks are fine\, but just know that there may be wheels moving around you. Towels to clean wheels if possible or do your best to try and have clean wheels. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe room is bright with doors that face a pathway. We strive for a scent-free space and we asked that people come to class as scent-free as possible. Some background noise in the room. LOCATION: Collingwood Neighborhood House Annex – 690 Vanness Avenue\, Vancouver.\nThe room is wheelchair accessible. The two-gendered washrooms each have an accessible stall. There is an accessible single stall but doesn’t have an automatic door. ASL available upon request!\n\n\n\nJOIN THE EXPERIENCE
