SUMMARY:Photography and Disability
DESCRIPTION:Disabled Community Connection Network (DCCN) is a monthly communication and information group for people of all ages (16+) with any disability. This group is hosted by the North Shore Disability Resource Centre. This group is facilitated by and for people with disabilities. \nThe next group is Thursday\, March 17th “Photography and Disability” with Darrell Hyatt.  \nASL Interpretation is provided! \nDarrell Hyatt’s Bio: As a teen\, I was fascinated by my uncle’s collection of cameras. However\, my limited hand function caused by cerebral palsy and the expense of developing film to have only one or two photos turn out precluded me from exploring my interest. I pursued my other passion: computers. A self-proclaimed geek\, I spent 40+ years in the computer field – as a programmer\, instructor and technology specialist. My two interests collided when digital cameras came along. I dove into learning all I could about this new technology; reading online articles and watching videos. \n  \nPlease Email L.Stinson@nsdrc.org or call 604-985-5371 to register and for the Zoom login information

DESCRIPTION:SESSION INFO: « Back to all events\nDisabled Community Connection Network (DCCN) is a monthly communication and information group for people of all ages (16+) with any disability. I have been living with overlapping but “invisible-to-the-general-public” disabilities since birth. It is my goal to champion those with disabilities by helping able-bodied people to understand our struggles. My ultimate goal is to see a world designed for our needs\, perfectly integrated with present society.  We deserve a more even playing field\, so I believe we must create it.
