SUMMARY:Tuned In\, Worn Out: The Real Deal on Listening Fatigue
DESCRIPTION:This powerful session dives into the hidden exhaustion behind constant listening and communication—especially for those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. From the mental load of processing sound to its impact on daily life\, Erin and Wanda will explore why listening fatigue is real and share practical strategies to lighten the load. Interpreters will be provided! \nMeet Your Presenters: \nErin Green\nBorn profoundly Deaf\, Erin grew up navigating the hearing world with textbooks and sports as her anchors. Listening fatigue is more than a topic to her—it’s personal. \nWanda Blackett\nGrowing up Hard of Hearing\, Wanda knows firsthand the struggle of listening fatigue and the isolation of dinner table syndrome. It wasn’t until college that she found belonging through ASL and the Deaf community. In this webinar\, Wanda will share her identity\, communication\, and connection journey. Fun fact: she loves crocheting plushies and hanging out with her two mischievous fur babies. \nWhen: Tuesday\, April 15\, 2025 \nTime: 6 pm PST / 8 pm CST / 9 pm EST \n  \nREGISTER HERE\n  \nView ASL Video: https://youtu.be/X-TmAw6ZOQk?si=MhFNPeF9qGYbJyhy.
