SUMMARY:Youth Leadership Workshop Series
DESCRIPTION:Indigenous Perspectives Society: Centre of Excellence in Community Education (IPS) is thrilled to announce a new free online leadership workshop series especially for Indigenous youth in and from care.  \nWe believe that much of the cultural resurgence and reconciliation work in the coming years will happen through the cultivated leadership of our youth. Indigenous youth in and from care share unique experiences and have very valuable perspectives to share. This is a chance to learn alongside and support each other in a safe space.   \nIndigenous Youth\, between the ages 14 to 28\, we are inviting YOU to register for this series of three amazing workshops plus voluntary peer mentorship to gain: \n\nConnection with other Indigenous youth and IPS youth circle members \nCommunity leadership skills\nResume building and professional development skills\n\nOnce the three workshops are complete\, participants will receive: \n\nA Certificate of Community Leadership\n$50 Honorarium upon completion\n\n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n  \nWorkshops Listing and Dates   \nConflict Transformation: June 12th\, 9am – 12pm \nUnderstanding and Healing Lateral Violence: July 9th\, 9am – 4pm; July 10th\, 9am – 12pm \nAll My Relations: Supporting Two Spirit and Indigenous LGBTQ* Youth: August 7th\, 9am – 4pm \n*Peer Mentorship support circles online with IPS’s Youth Circle: multiple dates to be determined.  \n**Can’t Make a training Date? These Workshops will be recorded for you to access as needed.
