Different Minds Academy is embarking on an exciting new adventure: Robotics Summer Camp!
Organized by Different Minds Academy, University of Victoria, Canada
Summer camp is conducted and organized by Shruthi (Su), Prof. Jim Tanaka, Bernice Addison and team. Shruthi is a Robotics and STEM Educator with a PhD in Robotics and several years of teaching experience spanning schools and universities.
Age group: 6+ (FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES)
About: The Robotics Summer Camp’s three day session aims to provide an introduction for the kids to the world of robotics, mechanics, electronics and coding. There will be dedicated mentoring during these sessions to help the kids to understand better.
Registration Deadline: July 20th, 2022

Our camps are matched with university mentors trained in autism and neurodiversity. Having grown from over a decade of science workshops for the neurodiversity community, DMA creates and provides virtual learning and meaningful social experiences for children of all abilities.
The Academy comes under the umbrella of the Different Minds Institute, formerly known as the Centre for Autism Recreation, Technology and Education (CARTE), led by Prof. Jim Tanaka, Professor in the Cognition and Brain Sciences Program in the Psychology Department at the University of Victoria.
