When your child is experiencing difficulty in the school system, it is up to you, the parent to offer solutions.
Nancy Walton, Executive Director of Autism Support Network and speaker in our video series will give examples of quality school programs so that parents can better identify what to ask for. She will then offer tools for effective communication and advocacy so that parents can effectively support their child at school. These tools are also useful when advocating with MCFD or CLBC or any organization where your child might need better support.
After the presentation, parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to share experiences and ask questions.
