Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) wishes Minister Grace Lore a smooth recovery and welcomes Minister Jodie Wickens into the temporary role
(December 6, 2024 – New Westminster, B.C.)— The Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) is saddened to hear about Minister Grace Lore’s recent cancer diagnosis, announced via social media on December 5. As the Minister of Children and Family Development (MCFD), Minister Lore has been steadfastly committed to the important work of supporting and protecting British Columbia’s children, youth and families. She is now taking time off to focus on her treatment and recovery. We wish Minister Lore all the best during her healing, and we look forward to her eventual return in the fullness of health.
At this time, FSI extends a heartfelt welcome to Jodie Wickens, Minister of State for Child Care and Children and Youth with Support Needs, who will step into the MCFD ministerial role temporarily.
