Sharon Sutherland, Executive Director of Mediate BC, is a Registered Roster Mediator (RRM) and lawyer specializing in conflict resolution. Since 1996, her work has spanned civil disputes, workplace issues, Indigenous decision-making, child protection, and elder care. Her personal caregiving experience inspires her focus on self-determination for care recipients. Sharon holds an Honorary LL.D. from the Justice Institute of BC and the Susanna Jani Prize for Excellence in Mediation.
Lori Frank, Director of Child Welfare Initiatives at Mediate BC, is a mediator and facilitator with a trauma-informed approach to conflict resolution. Drawing on her personal caregiving experience, she has guided her own family through aging-related decisions. Lori mediates in family, child protection, and workplace settings, emphasizing empathy, practical tools, and collaborative solutions.
