SESSION INFO: « Back to all events
BC’s Office of the Human Rights Commissioner has released a hate speech guide to help people in B.C. better understand hate speech and their rights and responsibilities under the law. And we want to talk about it with you.
In this public session, our Legal and Engagement teams will share the top five facts everyone should know about hate speech and the law. Participants will learn what hate speech is and what legal options are available for people who have been targeted by hate speech. We will also discuss how best to support people who experience hate speech and what kind of supports are available.
Our event webpage has more information about the event, including accessibility notes.
