Explore self-advocacy through storytelling. What does that mean physically (breath and body), what does it mean intellectually (write & deliver a succinct and powerful version of you!).
This experience is in Partnership with Disability Without Poverty. Join us In-person at the Curiko Studio – 4924 Imperial St, Burnaby
Storytelling is an art form and a powerful tool. Amanda, from Disability without Poverty will use her background in theatre and her passion for advocacy to lead an exploration of storytelling. After games and storytelling exercises you will explore how to tell personal stories as advocates both for oneself and as part of a movement.
Bring yourself and a water bottle. You can also bring a pen & paper if you like to write things down.
