3-part Workshop Series (Ages 13+)
The Menstrual Health and Wellbeing Workshop Series aims to provide an opportunity for individuals who menstruate (whether soon-to-be menstruators, newly menstruating, or menstruating for years) to connect with others to talk about menstruation in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Open to all Autistic individuals ages 13+
Open to individuals who menstruate (whether soon-to-be menstruators, newly menstruating, or menstruating for years)
Week 1: Art and Ice Cream Social: Learn to paint with tips and techniques from an artist to make your very own menstrual self-care box. You will get to enjoy a tasty treat while exploring your creative side. Each participant will get to paint their own box to take home with them.
Week 2: Movie and Discussion. This week we will explore menstruation through different thought-provoking films. We will engage in open discussions to break down stigma about menstruation, promote understanding, and make connections.
Week 3: Menstrual Self-care Kits and Period Product Exploration. This week we will explore different types of menstrual products, including pads, tampons, cups, underwear, and reusable pads. We will make personalized self-care kits with items such as cramp cream, chocolates, snacks, skincare products, and more that participants will get to take home with them.
