Navigating the Disability Tax Credit and RDSP: CYSN Updates for Families

Learn how the Disability Tax Credit and RDSP can better support your child and family.
The ASN, in collaboration with the Disability Alliance of BC, seeks to support families by giving trusted information and guidance through the upcoming transition to the new system for autism supports and services. Though it was important before, obtaining the DTC is critical moving forward.
Description: This presentation will guide families through navigating the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) for children, with a specific focus on the transition to the new Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) framework. We will explore how these new changes shift from diagnosis-specific programs toward expanded community services and functional, income-tailored direct benefits. Additionally, the session will briefly cover the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) and the Canada Disability Benefit.
