The goal of this booklet is to provide information to families about the workforce for people with disabilities, to describe the types of supports available during employment, and to illustrate how to access these services.
By taking a person centered approach to employment and focusing on the individual – not the job – employment for all becomes more attainable. With supports, knowledge, choice, and understanding, people of varying abilities can achieve full citizenship and inclusion in community by doing meaningful work for fair wages.

Did you have a great experience with FSI? Please let us know!
As a provincial organization FSI acknowledges that our work spans across all of the traditional, ancestral, and unceded Indigenous territories in BC. Therefore, we respectfully honour all First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, as well as their ancestors, who have lived here and cared for these lands. It is with gratitude that we can live, learn and do our work in the province now known as British Columbia.
