What is Jordan's Principle?

Jordan’s Principle can pay for a wide range of health, social, and educational needs. Some examples include:

  • Speech and Occupational Therapy
  • Specialized Equipment
  • Tutors or Indigenous Counsellors
  • Assessments such as Psycho-Educational, a requirement for an Autism diagnoses
  • Respite Care so parents can get a break
  • Traditional Healing

There is an equivalent program for Inuit children through the Inuit Child First Initiative
