One-third of the children who receive an Autism Diagnosis remain nonspeaking despite the therapies and interventions. Is your child minimally verbal, and it’s affecting his/her emotional wellbeing? Does your child understand what you tell him or stay unfocused and aloof? Are you experiencing meltdowns, self-injurious or aggressive behaviours? Would you like to connect with parents who have walked the path before you and some at the same stage as yourself to gain some perspective and strategies?
At FSI we would like to bring parents in this unique situation together for support, empathy, understanding and brainstorming some workable strategies. This will be a safe and confidential space for the families on a similar journey. We are better and stronger together.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial not-for-profit society committed to supporting families who have a family member with a disability. FSI is unique in Canada and the only grass roots family to family organization that has a broad volunteer base.
